Therapeutic
Plasma Exchange (TPE)

A Modern Approach to Plasma Renewal & Longevity

Once primarily associated with hospital-based and specialty care, Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) is now available at Pure Cell in a comfortable, physician-supervised clinical setting.

By removing and replacing a portion of circulating plasma while returning your blood cells to the body, TPE brings an advanced medical procedure into a more accessible longevity experience — designed to integrate into your broader approach to proactive health and healthy aging.

Personalized your Treatment

Your TPE Journey
Starts With You

TPE is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. At Pure Cell, your journey begins with a personalized medical evaluation to understand your health history, current health status, and longevity goals.

When appropriate, laboratory testing may be incorporated before treatment to establish a baseline and provide a more comprehensive view of your health. Testing may include standard bloodwork as well as selected advanced panels based on your individual needs.

Following TPE, selected biomarkers may be reassessed and reviewed with your medical provider to help guide your next steps.

A closer look at the technology and process behind Therapeutic Plasma Exchange.

What Happens During TPE?

During TPE, your blood is continuously circulated through a specialized apheresis system, where plasma is separated from the cellular components of your blood.

A prescribed portion of plasma is removed, while your blood cells are returned to circulation with replacement fluid.

The procedure is performed under medical supervision and typically takes approximately 2–4 hours, depending on your individualized treatment plan.

Why Plasma Matters in Healthy Aging

Plasma is more than the liquid portion of your blood. It carries proteins, lipids, hormones, antibodies, metabolites, and signaling molecules throughout the body.

As we age, this circulating environment changes. Researchers are increasingly studying how age-related changes in plasma may be connected to inflammation, immune signaling, metabolic health, and other biological processes associated with aging.

Therapeutic Plasma Exchange offers a unique approach by directly modifying this circulating environment — which is why TPE is gaining attention in the field of longevity medicine.
